KaikuSDR

KaikuSDR user guide

KaikuSDR listens to many radio channels at once with one or more cheap SDR receivers, plays what it hears, and helps you find out who is talking and keep the channels you care about. It is made for people who have never used an SDR before.

This guide is written in the app's own words. The app's own Help (the "?" at the top of the page) has the short form of it: getting started, every receiver that works with the app and what it needs on a Mac and on Windows, what to do when something goes wrong, and the words explained — press a word on the page to open its explanation.

  1. Getting started: installing, the first-run guide, the demo
  2. Your receiver: RTL-SDR dongles and Airspy receivers, and their settings
  3. Listening: the chart, open channels, staying on a channel, locking out and muting, saving channels
  4. Recording and speech to text
  5. When something goes wrong: what the app says, and what to do
  6. Privacy: what stays on your computer (everything), and where
